Ramzi Yassa is the winner of several international prizes.
He has appeared both live and on television throughout the world
in such venues as
the Barbican, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Kennedy Center,
the Mann Auditorium, the Musikverein
the Palau, the Tivoli, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées,
the Palais des Beaux Arts…
His concerto performances have associated him
with such conductors as Vladimir Ashkenazy
Charles Groves, Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Leonard Slatkin, Horst Stein.
Ramzi Yassa was born in Cairo where he started his piano lessons with his mother. He graduated from the Cairo Conservatoire and then joined the
Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow.
In 1977 he won the
First Grand Prix in the Santander International Competition, as well as the Special Prize E.Casanueva.
His CD recordings include among others, works by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Chopin, and the Beethoven piano concertos.
He received the Franz Liszt Centenary Commemorative Medal.
Ramzi Yassa was invited to take part in the jury of
international competitions in the United States and Europe. He has also participated both as a performer and a speaker to events organized by Unesco.
Besides his performing activities, he is Pianoforte Professor at the
Ecole Normale de Musique "Alfred Cortot" in Paris where he has been living since 1977.
Ramzi Yassa is the artistic director of the International Music Center in Manasterly Palace, Cairo, a post he held for the past seven years
In 2007 he was the first Egyptian performer musician to be awarded the Merit State Prize.

le Premier Grand Prix du Concours International de Santander.
A ses activités de concertiste, Ramzi Yassa ajoute celles du pédagogue; il est professeur ŕ
l'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris " Alfred Cortot ".
Il s’est produit comme soliste avec l’Orchestre Symphonique de Berlin, Le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, L’Orchestre du Mozarteum de Salzbourg, l’Orchestre Philharmonique Tchčque.
Il a enregistré plusieurs CD consacrés ŕ Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev est l’intégrale des concertos de Beethoven avec l’Orchestre Symphonique du Caire dirigé par A. Elsaedi.
Il participe aux jurys de concours internationaux aux Etats Unis, en Europe et au Moyen-Orient. Il a été invité au jury du Concours International de Piano de Santander, du concours Vladimir Horowitz ŕ Kiev, de Porto, Rhodes ainsi qu’au concours de Leeds.
Depuis 2002, Ramzi Yassa est le directeur artistique du International Music Center, Manasterly Palace au Caire.
